NEW YORK CITY — Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce announced their engagement in August 2025 through an Instagram post. The announcement received 37.5 million likes.

Swift said in an interview that her upcoming wedding could feature a large guest list. She also maintained that she would focus on privacy regarding personal details about the event. The singer previously noted that her practice of embedding clues in her creative work does not extend to her personal life.

Miles Teller, an actor, commented on the upcoming wedding in November 2025. "I don't know. That is gonna be — I imagine — one impressive wedding. But yeah, just very happy for them. I've known Trav for a while, too, and I think they're having a blast." Teller said. Teller and Keleigh Sperry attended the February 2024 Super Bowl VIP suite with Swift. The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers in that Super Bowl. Kelce is a minority owner of the Cleveland Guardians baseball team.

Caitlin Curley, a marketing management student at the University of Galway and a member of the Swiftie Society, discussed potential information leaks. "For safety and security reasons, if there was to be a date leaked, it might be because it's a decoy date." Curley said. She added, "It would drag people's attention elsewhere."

Swift moved to Nashville at age 14 to pursue a music career. She spent her early childhood at Pine Ridge Farm near Reading, Pennsylvania, which ceased commercial operations by 2021. Swift moved to New York City in 2014. In 2012, Swift mentioned that most of her childhood memories were formed in Stone Harbor, New Jersey. Swift and Kelce have previously vacationed on Harbour Island in the Bahamas.

No independent assessment of Taylor Swift’s claims was available.
