WASHINGTON — Taylor Swift released an original song titled "I Knew It, I Knew You" for the *Toy Story 5* soundtrack. The track became available on YouTube and music streaming platforms at midnight early Friday morning.

Jack Antonoff co-wrote and co-produced the song with Swift. The single's cover artwork shows the character Jessie's sheriff badge and red braided hair. The recording features a banjo and harmonica. Physical copies of the single on CD and vinyl sold out through Swift's website. Acoustic and piano versions of the track are available exclusively on CD through Swift's website.

June 19, the date of the song's release, marks 20 years since Swift's debut single "Tim McGraw." *Toy Story 5* is scheduled for U.S. theatrical release on June 19, with a gala premiere set for June 9. Pixar and Disney published Instagram videos of the character Jessie dancing with text referencing Swift's song "Shake It Off." Billboards with a *Toy Story* theme and the letters "TS" were installed on May 29.

Swift displayed a countdown timer with a blue sky and cloud background on her website for approximately 10 minutes in April. She also posted an Instagram update with the release, which included a childhood home video of herself wearing a red cowboy hat and boots. "Creating something for Jessie was a new challenge and also felt like second nature all at once," Swift said. "Writing this song felt like a musical departure and coming home at the same time," Swift wrote in a social media post.

No independent assessment of Taylor Swift’s claims was available.
