LOS ANGELES — The May 31, 2026 episode of 'Euphoria' was the series finale, creator Sam Levinson confirmed. The episode, titled 'In God We Trust,' aired at 9:00 p.m. ET on HBO and HBO Max as the eighth and final installment of Season 3.
Levinson, who adapted 'Euphoria' from an Israeli series and has written and directed nearly every episode since its 2019 premiere, said in a podcast interview, 'In terms of the story that we set out to tell, which is a story about addiction and its consequences, this feels like the end to me.' He also told Variety in April 2026 that he has 'no plans' for a Season 4.
HBO separately confirmed to Variety that the Season 3 finale marked the end of the series. Season 3 premiered more than four years after the Season 2 finale, with production delays exacerbated by the 2023 death of star Angus Cloud at age 25.
The 93-minute finale concluded a season in which the characters, after a time jump, wrestled with the virtue of faith, the possibility of redemption, and the problem of evil. Zendaya, who portrayed Rue Bennett—the emotional core of the series—appeared on 'The Drew Barrymore Show' in April 2026 and said she thinks Season 3 is the end and that it has 'closure.'
