LONDON — Shania Twain performed a concert at the Shacklewell Arms venue in London, performing her new single "Dirty Rosie." The performance took place ahead of the scheduled July 24 release of her seventh studio album, "Little Miss Twain."
Approximately 200 ticket holders attended the one-hour performance. The venue provided complimentary cowboy hats and bandanas for attendees. Twain wore a black bodysuit and matching boots during the event.
Twain said, "This was my very first time in a small bar since I was a child." She noted that she started on similar stages as a child.
Twain said, "This album is all about the phases of my life before I got my recording contract. I was playing in bars from the age of eight years old until I was in my late 20s."
During the set, Twain performed snippets of several songs, including the tracks "When," "You Win My Love," "Don't Be Stupid," and "From This Moment On." She shared details about her songwriting process, stating that "No One Needs to Know" was written in a room at a golf resort where she previously worked. Twain cited Pat Benatar's "Hit Me With Your Best Shot" as an influence for her song "That Don't Impress Me Much."
Fan Jack said, "We thought we might have been scammed when we saw the ticket announcement." Another fan, Nathan, who has attended seven of Twain's concerts, remarked on the unusual nature of the small venue performance. Nathan said, "Why is she doing this? I don't care. I only usually get to see her in large concerts." Twain concluded the performance with a cover of "Cotton Eye Joe." Fans chanted for an additional song after she exited the venue.
