JERUSALEM — The 10th annual Jerusalem Prayer Breakfast took place at the Knesset on May 27, 2026. The gathering proceeded as scheduled, despite a suggestion to postpone it due to regional security conditions and flight limitations.

Knesset member Ohad Tal had suggested postponing the event to Albert Veksler, the global director of the Jerusalem Prayer Breakfast. However, Veksler declined the request and confirmed the event would proceed. International commercial flights into Israel were operating at reduced capacity at the time.

The gathering brought together an array of participants, including Christian leaders, foreign politicians, faith leaders, activists, and Israeli lawmakers. Ohad Tal stated, "The conflict Israel has faced since Oct. 7, 2023, is a war for Jerusalem because its enemies launched it under the name Al-Aqsa Flood." Tal also said, "Their Jerusalem is one in which Jews and Christians are not welcome, where we cannot gather to pray."

Knesset member Tatiana Mazarsky cited regional security threats from multiple groups, including Hezbollah, Hamas, militant groups in Judea and Samaria, Yemen, and Iran. Mazarsky reported that explosive drones enter Israeli territory multiple times daily.

Mazarsky said Israeli children continue to hide under tables, lie on the floor, and cover their heads because explosive drones penetrate Israeli territory every single day, several times a day. She also noted concerns about international media, stating Israel faces another front in the international media, which spreads distorted information and portrays Israel as an aggressor.

No independent assessment of Jerusalem Prayer Breakfast’s claims was available.
