MIAMI GARDENS — The Miami Dolphins held a three-day mandatory minicamp at the Baptist Health Training Complex starting in early June 2026. Defensive lineman Zach Sieler did not participate in drills during the event. Head coach Jeff Hafley confirmed that all players were accounted for at the start of the minicamp drills, but Sieler was held out due to a minor injury.
Sieler was present at the facility but did not wear a helmet or engage in practice activities during the sessions. Hafley stated that the minor injury prevented Sieler from participating in Tuesday's drills.
Under league guidelines, full pads and live tackling are prohibited during the minicamp. Players are permitted to wear helmets and protective knee and elbow pads. Team activities are limited to 10 hours per day, with on-field work capped at 3.5 hours and individual practice sessions at 2.5 hours.
Sieler, who is currently 30 years old, is entering his eighth NFL season. Throughout his career, he has accumulated 353 tackles, 78 quarterback hits, and 35.5 sacks. He has also recorded 16 passes defensed, six fumble recoveries, five forced fumbles, and two interceptions.
In roster updates, "Hopefully that gets ironed out," head coach Jeff Hafley said regarding ongoing contract negotiations. He discussed player performance in the current practice setting, noting, "When anyone asks me right now, anyone being truthful to you, being truthful to anyone in our building, being truthful to my wife, who really doesn't ask me a lot of these questions but maybe she could, how are the guys doing? I mean, yeah, I think they're doing a good job in the setting that we're putting them in, but eventually when the helmet and shoulder pads come on, we'll find out who can make those plays, which ultimately the game is about," head coach Jeff Hafley said. In other team news, the organization recently signed wide receiver Jalen Reagor.
