LOS ANGELES — Alaric Jackson, an offensive lineman for the Los Angeles Rams, was arrested for felony domestic battery at his Los Angeles residence at approximately 11:00 p.m. on Monday night. Police responded to the home following reports of a verbal dispute between Jackson and a woman.

Investigators stated that Jackson believed the woman was recording him with her phone and attempted to take the device from her hand. Law enforcement observed scratch marks on the woman's arms at the scene. The charge of felony domestic battery relates to willfully inflicting physical or corporal injury resulting in a traumatic condition on an intimate partner.

Jackson was booked into custody on Tuesday at 4:24 a.m. and released at 7:20 a.m. after posting a $50,000 bond. The law enforcement agency submitted the case to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office for review.

The NFL suspended Jackson for two games in 2024 for violating the league's personal conduct policy. This suspension resulted from a report that Jackson recorded a woman during sex without her consent, refused to delete the video, and taunted her with it. A woman filed a civil lawsuit against Jackson in November 2025 regarding the 2024 recording allegations.

The Rams signed Jackson to a three-year, $57 million contract extension in early 2025. Jackson originally joined the Rams in 2021 as an undrafted free agent out of the University of Iowa. He has appeared in 57 career games for the franchise and won a Super Bowl with the Rams during his rookie season. He also started 16 regular-season games and three postseason games for the team in the 2025 season.
