FORT BEND COUNTY, TEXAS — Phillipi Angela Walker was arrested on November 24, 2025, in Fort Bend County, Texas, after investigators reported that her 8-year-old child with a disability was left unattended for approximately two days. The child used a communication device to contact law enforcement to request food during this period. Court filings allege Walker was in Honduras during one of the incidents and left the child at the residence while traveling outside the United States.

Court records show Walker is charged with abandoning or endangering a child with intent to return, which is classified as a state jail felony. Prosecutors have confirmed they are pursuing two separate felony indictments related to two distinct incident dates. The child, described in a court affidavit as having a mental deficiency that may limit awareness of surroundings, subsisted on birthday cake while alone inside the residence.

On November 24, 2025, investigators conducted surveillance at Walker's residence while executing an arrest warrant. Detectives found the child inside the residence that day. The child informed detectives that her mother was at work when she was discovered. Detectives also found three large knives accessible to the child inside the residence.

Deputies stopped Walker as she departed for her workplace at the Houston VA Hospital on November 24, 2025. The criminal proceedings against Walker remain pending.
