SOUTHAMPTON — Nigel Farage delivered an emergency address via live stream and held an 8am press conference in Southampton following the release of police footage showing Henry Nowak pleading for help after being stabbed. Nowak was fatally stabbed by Vickrum Digwa, who has been jailed for at least 21 years.

Farage linked the murder to "anti-white prejudice" and called for the "promotion of the idea that white lives matter just as much as black lives." He urged the attorney general to review Digwa’s sentence and warned, "I fear for where our society would be in a few short years if we don’t grip this and do it very, very quickly." Farage added, "I suggest the rest of us respond to this with pure cold rage."

The police footage released by Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary showed Nowak being handcuffed and appealing for assistance after the attack. Digwa later claimed Nowak had racially abused him, though authorities have not confirmed this allegation.

Farage’s response marked a shift from his recent reticence to hold press events. His remarks drew immediate concern from law enforcement, with police condemning calls for "vigilante justice" in connection with the case.

Farage’s emergency address followed the release of body camera footage that showed Nowak repeatedly asking officers for medical help while restrained on the ground. The footage was published as part of the investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death. Authorities confirmed Digwa was sentenced to a minimum of 21 years in prison for the stabbing.
