WASHINGTON, D.C. — The 2026 National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) championship game will be held at Audi Field in Washington, D.C., on November 21. The match will air in prime time on CBS and stream on Paramount+.

Audi Field, which has served as the home stadium of the Washington Spirit since 2020, has a seating capacity of 20,000. The venue previously hosted the NWSL Championship in 2022, when the Portland Thorns defeated the Kansas City Current 2-0 before a crowd of 17,624.

The Spirit recorded a sellout crowd of 19,365 for a 2-1 victory over the Seattle Reign on a Saturday in 2026. That total matched the franchise record for sellouts, previously set in both 2024 and 2025. The club announced the sellout 11 days before kickoff, the earliest such announcement in its history.

The Spirit’s 2026 fixtures against the Portland Thorns and the Kansas City Current each drew more than 19,000 fans. Since the team’s run to the 2024 NWSL Championship, the Spirit have sold out five of their last seven home matches, including two playoff games during the 2025 season.

The selection of Audi Field for the 2026 final comes as the NWSL expands to 16 teams, its largest configuration to date. Championship week in Washington, D.C., is expected to feature fan events, community programming, and league-wide activations. The league declined to comment on the venue selection.

The last four NWSL championship games have been sellouts, according to league statistics. Audi Field also hosted the Spirit’s home matches during the 2025-26 Concacaf W Champions Cup group stage.
