PHILADELPHIA — The Philadelphia Eagles signed wide receiver Samori Toure on June 1, 2026. To make room for Toure on the roster, the team released linebacker Chandler Martin.
Toure, 28, was a seventh-round pick by the Green Bay Packers in the 2022 NFL Draft. He played in 23 career NFL games, 22 of them with Green Bay, and has totaled 14 receptions for 163 yards and one touchdown. The Packers waived him during roster cuts in 2024.
After his release from Green Bay, Toure spent time on the Chicago Bears' practice squad during the 2024 season. He was on the practice squads of both the Denver Broncos and New Orleans Saints in 2025 and was elevated for one game with the Saints that year.
Toure’s familiarity with Eagles offensive coordinator Sean Mannion could aid his transition. Mannion previously served as an offensive assistant with the Packers while Toure was on the team. Toure stands 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighs 196 pounds.
Before entering the NFL, Toure began his college career at the University of Montana. In 2019, he was named an FCS third-team All-American and Big Sky Conference Receiver of the Year after setting Montana Grizzlies single-season records with 87 receptions and 1,495 receiving yards. That season, he posted a 303-yard receiving game against Southeast Louisiana in the FCS playoffs, establishing an FCS playoff record.
Toure did not play in the 2020 college season due to the COVID-19 pandemic and transferred to the University of Nebraska in 2021. He led the Cornhuskers that year with 898 receiving yards and five receiving touchdowns.
Toure’s college performance at Montana in 2019 included averaging 17.2 yards per reception, a statistic that contributed to his All-American recognition. His decision to transfer to Nebraska came after the Big Sky Conference canceled its fall 2020 season because of the pandemic.
