San Antonio police arrested two suspects along Southwest Military Drive after the Spurs won the Western Conference Championship on Saturday night. The incidents occurred during post-game celebrations that extended into Sunday morning.

The first incident happened around midnight Sunday when an unidentified 42-year-old man was seen jumping on vehicles. A police officer instructed the man to get down, but the suspect pushed the officer to the ground. The officer stood back up and dispersed the surrounding crowd before the man was taken into custody.

Approximately an hour later, officers responded to a fight nearby. Francis Cervantes, 29, was told to move her vehicle but struck a parked car while reversing. She eventually pulled over and struck an officer, who sustained no physical injuries, according to a preliminary report. Additional officers ordered Cervantes to exit the vehicle, but she resisted and was involved in a physical altercation with multiple officers before being taken into custody. Court records show she was later charged with resisting arrest.

In a statement Monday, San Antonio police urged Spurs fans to celebrate responsibly and safely after playoff wins. The department advised fans to always wear seatbelts, follow traffic laws, not exit vehicles on active roadways, not engage in celebratory gunfire, not pop fireworks, not light fires, and not sit on top of moving vehicles.
