DALLAS — Azzi Fudd earned her first start of the 2026 WNBA season on May 29 and scored 22 points as the Dallas Wings defeated the Las Vegas Aces 95-87. The Wings overcame a 13-point deficit in the game, with Fudd making nine of 15 field goal attempts and three of five from 3-point range.

Fudd’s performance marked her second consecutive 20-point outing. On May 24, she set a career high with 24 points in a 91-76 win over the New York Liberty, going 9 of 15 from the field and 6 of 12 from beyond the arc. She scored 17 of those points in the third quarter alone, hitting five of seven 3-point attempts as Dallas erased a halftime deficit.

Earlier in the season, Fudd saw limited minutes and few shot opportunities, which hindered her ability to establish rhythm. After the coaching staff increased her playing time and role in the offense, she has flourished. She is now the team’s most efficient volume 3-point shooter, converting 46.4% of her attempts on 4.0 tries per game.

Her emergence has coincided with improvement in Dallas’s perimeter shooting. The Wings, who ranked second-worst in 3-point efficiency last season at 30.4% and averaged only 6.6 makes per game, now rank second in the league in percentage at 37.2% and average 9.1 made 3-pointers per game in 2026.

Dallas Wings player Arike Ogunbowale credited Fudd’s addition and criticism of the team’s draft strategy for improving floor spacing. “Best shooter in the country,” Ogunbowale said of Fudd. Ogunbowale herself takes 5.6 3-point attempts per game this season at a 33.3% clip, and defenses continue to respect her shot despite the inefficiency, which further aids the Wings’ offensive balance.

In the second half of the May 29 game against the Las Vegas Aces, Fudd scored 13 points and missed only two of seven field goal attempts.
