WASHINGTON — NASA will host a public event featuring three crew members from the SpaceX Crew-11 mission at 11 a.m. EDT Monday, June 1. The event will take place in the Webb Auditorium at NASA Headquarters in the Mary W. Jackson building, located at 300 E. Street SW in Washington.
The astronauts participating are NASA astronauts Zena Cardman and Mike Fincke and Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) astronaut Kimiya Yui. The Crew-11 mission included a fourth crew member, Roscosmos cosmonaut Oleg Platonov, who will not be part of the public event.
Crew-11 launched on August 1, 2025, from Launch Complex 39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The SpaceX Dragon spacecraft docked with the International Space Station the following day, August 2, 2025. The crew spent 167 days aboard the station as part of Expeditions 73 and 74 before returning to Earth on January 15, 2026, with a splashdown off the coast of San Diego.
During their time in orbit, the astronauts traveled nearly 71 million miles and completed more than 2,670 orbits around Earth. They logged hundreds of hours conducting scientific research, performing station maintenance, and carrying out technology demonstrations. On November 2, 2025, they also commemorated the 25th anniversary of continuous human presence aboard the International Space Station.
The mission was Mike Fincke’s fourth spaceflight, Kimiya Yui’s second, and the first for both Zena Cardman and Oleg Platonov. Fincke has now accumulated 549 days in space, placing him fourth among all NASA astronauts for cumulative time in orbit.
The Crew-11 astronauts conducted scientific investigations in microgravity, supported upgrades to station systems, and tested new technologies for future deep space missions. Their work contributed to ongoing research in biology, human health, and physical sciences aboard the orbiting laboratory.
